Dr Norzakiah completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery from University of Malaya in 1994 and four years later completed her specialist training at University of Leeds, United Kingdom in 1998. She also obtained Membership in Orthodontics from The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh the same year. She came back from UK and joined University of Malaya as a lecturer and in 2003 was appointed as Associate Professor. In 2006, she was awarded the Fellowship of Dental Surgery from The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh for her active and major role in education of orthodontics.

Dr Norzakiah has combined part-time practice with a significant teaching role in University of Malaya since 2006. She delivered numerous lectures and published papers, nationally and internationally. She is also an active member of Malaysian Association of Orthodontists.

She practices the most advanced clinical treatment techniques available providing treatments such as Invisalign, Lingual Braces, Self-ligating Braces for example Damon braces and combined complex surgical orthodontic cases.
